If you are interested in becoming an NHC member, you can read more about both programs below. We are currently not accepting new applications for either program, but we encourage you to fill out our contact form.. We will reach out when applications open between March-April 2026. 

Public Health Leadership Corps:

This program  is for emerging  leaders planning to pursue advanced degrees in healthcare and public health. It operates in Central California, Florida, Philadelphia region, Pittsburgh and the San Francisco Bay region. Applicants do not need to be a resident of a specific region to apply.

Community Health Fellowship:

This program is for those who are seeking to expand their professional skills in community health worker, digital health navigator and/or medical interpreter roles. Please note that applicants need to be residents or have deep connections to the following counties at the time of application submission.

• Delaware (all counties)
• Northeast Pennsylvania: Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming.
• Greater Philadelphia: Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester and Montgomery County. 

National Health Corps Host Sites: 

If you are part of an organization that is interested in hosting an NHC member, please create a new account to complete your host site application and your position description(s). 

To be eligible to be an NHC Host Site, an organization must, at a minimum, be a state-recognized nonprofit organization that complies with the restrictions outlined in Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code pertaining to political activities and lobbying; an institution of higher education; a government entity within a state or territory; Indian Tribe; or a partnership/consortium.
