What is your role at your host site?

I am a Wellness Coordinator at the Arc.

Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?

I joined the National Health Corps so that I could not only serve individuals who are underserved but to also gain exposure and expand my knowledge of the public health field.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?

I hope to grow as a professional, network, gain skills that will be invaluable for a future career in the public health fields, sharpen my strengths, and strengthen my weaknesses.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?

After my AmeriCorps term, I plan to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in clinical psychology.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I see myself in the early stages of building a career as a clinical psychologist.
