What is your title and role at your host site? Patient Navigator


Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps? I joined NHC because I believe they will provide me with a meaningful opportunity to positively impact those in need of healthcare.


What are you hoping to gain from your year of service? I want to gain a better understanding of the different aspects of healthcare, especially the economic side of things. I also hope the people that I help are ameliorated from their hardship.


What are your plans after AmeriCorps service? Medical School eventually, just not sure when exactly. I’ll still be biking and eating and serving.


Where do you envision yourself in 5 years? I can see myself getting a residency somewhere that I, at that time, would want to be in. I can see myself with a tan because I would be living in a warmer place. I can also see myself knowing a lot more than I do now. I’m not a fortune teller or anything, but they (my phantom audience) say I am a resurrected form of Tupac himself. So, make sure to pay close attention to me on the music charts.
